Update

Okay, so I need to give a little background about our life so you can understand why I have been so negligent on this blog.  First of all and the best news is that I am prego with baby number 4.  I am due on November 14th, and for the last 2 months I have been sick.  So basically EVERYTHING has been neglected, (just ask Justin).

The main reason I had to let this blog fall by the wayside is I have been the YW president in our ward for the last year and a half.  It kept me so busy that I had to let some things go.  I have been released, and while I am sad and I will miss “my girls”  I am glad to not have that huge burden on me anymore.  It was a huge blessing in our family, and while it kept me busy and lots of time away, we were blessed with safety and many other things.  Those girls had a huge impact on my life for good, it was an honor and a pleasure to serve them.  My testimony has grown, and I have to say I love the youth, they are so special.

Also we moved in December to another part of the ranch, short moves are not fun, and Justin was promoted.  Busy, busy just like everyone else.  Anyway, those are my excuses ;) hopefully I can be better here in the future.

Easter

March 15 - April 29 2012 048March 15 - April 29 2012 061

To be honest, I feel really bad about Easter this year.  Our poor boys got jipped.  We were calving so Justin wasn’t around for most of the day, and I was sick so I wasn’t any fun.  We didn’t even throw our eggs this year :(  It is just sad.  I do think the boys had fun anyway, they ate all the candy they could and to them that is the best.  We sure love them.

A few weeks ago my parents came to visit.  It was so good to see them and spend some time with them.  Grandpa spent a lot of time downstairs “playing ranch” with the boys.  It rained for two whole days while they were here, luckily they made it out in their car on our 30 miles of bad dirt road.  Thanks mom and dad for taking the time to come and see us, we love you!

Chickens

March 15 - April 29 2012 020 March 15 - April 29 2012 019

Whenever we went to Murdoch's (our Cal Ranch), the boys would ask for chickens.  On one weak day in March Justin gave in and they promised to take care of them.  We came home with 22 baby chicks.  Well today 2 months later, they are huge.  And yes, they feed them every day even though they wine and complain they are their chickens :).

Camping Out in MARCH

March 15 - April 29 2012 013

So here are my crazy guys.  We have had really nice weather all winter, so Justin decided to set up the wall tent and try out his new stove we got while in Utah.  They slept out there for three nights before they took it down.  I loved sleeping in the house all by myself!  The boys, including Justin, loved sleeping out there, and they are excited for branding and camping which will start next week.

Trip to Utah

For a week or so in March we FINALLY got to go to Utah to visit some family.  It has been since the first of August since we saw everyone except my parents (we saw them in October).  So this trip has been long overdue and we had a great time seeing almost everyone.  We spent time with Grandpa and Granny Stewart, my mom and dad, Calvin and Kistea, Darin, Doreen, Bailey and Katie, Papa and Nana, Neil and Suzanne, Ben and Megan, Mark, Emily, Kayden, and Dylan, Monica, Matt, Jason and Jen.  We had a great time and it all went by way too fast.

I have to say that my most favorite thing was being able to go to Jason and Jen’s sealing.  Thanks for having us there guys.

Anyway here are some pictures of our escapades.  January 19 - March 14 2012 360

Todd putting up the flag

November 2011 071

So I have gotten some flack lately that I haven’t been keeping up on my blog, so this is my sad attempt to write something.  A lot of things have changed in our lives lately, but I will write about that later.

This is Todd putting up the flag one morning in November at the SY school.  It is his favorite job.  He is a good student who listens well.  We are so proud of him.

Shay’s Wedding

August 2011 047

After being gone for 3 weeks this summer, we were back for 5 days and went back to Rexburg for Shay and Hollie’s wedding.  It was a great day, and we were so glad to be there with our good friends.

Jack Sparrow

April 25-April 29 2011 024

Todd as Jack Sparrow.  He LOVES pirates, and for Easter he got a Jack Sparrow movie, he loves it.  He asked me to take this picture of him “dressed like Jack Sparrow.”  What can I say, he is such a cutie, a awesome big brother, and great help.

A rare nice day in April

Some say our weather has been crazy, and I would have to agree, 70 one day and snowing the next.  It makes for some crazy days of calving.  On this nice day we got Fred out and all 3 boys took turns riding him all day.  Luke helped his dad and Joe sort heavies, he loves it.  Here are a few pictures of that beautiful day.

Here are dad and Luke moving the cow back out to he pasture.  There were really cows in front of them, I was trying to get up as close to them as I could.

How do watercolors taste?

I don’t know how water colors taste, but Jed does.  I guess I needed to feed him before getting him dressed, not the other way around.  He thought they were great and wondered what the fuss was all about.  He got it all over the carpet too, good thing he is so darn cute :)  Needless to say the watercolors got hidden in the trash (had to hide them or he would have dug them out to taste them again.
