I know this sounds crazy, but we were so excited to get cows. We now have our first bunch. This cow you see it the first cow to step onto the ranch. 815 last week and more to come in the weeks that follow, let the cow work begin.
Yes, this is what it looks like. This is Justin with his first bull buffalo kill. He was very proud. Todd and Luke were scared to death of it. It was tearing through fences on our place, and it is legal to shoot them if they are on your property. Justin tried to get it in the corral with the 4 wheeler, but it charged him instead, that was it for the poor guy.
What can I say, they did it again and this time it was even worse, they were sooooo muddy. It was a cool day, but I wasn’t even about to let their naked muddy bodies in the house, so yes, I sprayed them off, screaming the whole time. This time it made me kind of feel bad. I do have to say that it sure was fun watching them play, they had a great time. I figured that once they dove in, they might as well get their fill.
While fixing fence the other day we took hotdogs instead of sandwiches (like usual), and we had a weenie roast. We dug a pit in the middle of the road and built our fire. Todd, Luke and even me had a great time trying to build a castle in the dirt, unfortunately it didn’t work out very good. It was a fun day of fencing in he pines.
While Justin was welding Todd was working hard digging a hole and Luke was covering himself in the dirt. They had a great time. Todd has continued to work on his hole, I bet it is 2 to 3 feet deep now.
The day I put out the decorations Todd and Luke were so excited. As you can see they had to dress up in the costumes. What fun they had.
